An American love story to the music of Burt Bacharach and Hal David: Boy meets Girl; Boy loses Girl; Boy gets Girl Back. Songs include: "There's Always Something There to Remind Me", "One Less Bell to Answer", "Walk on By", "Blue on Blue", "Promises, Promises" "This Guy's in Love with You" and so many other hits. Enjoy Burt and Me in it's only New England 2012 performance on the way to Broadway.

Oklahoma! - July 4 to July 21
Rodgers and Hammerstein's first collaboration set the standard for American musical theater. Set in a western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, the high spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provide the colorful background against which the handsome cowboy and windsome farm girl play out their love story. Songs include "I Can't say No", "People Will Say Were in Love", "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin".

Hairspray - July 25 to August 11
It's 1960's Baltimore and change is in the air! Lovable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad has a passion for dancing and wins a spot on the local TV dance show. Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Will Tracy vanquish the reigning TV princess; integrate the show and find true love all without mussing her hair? Join us and find out!

Boeing-Boeing - August 15 to September 1
This "door-slamming" farce features a man with a German, a French and an American fiance; each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent "layovers". He keeps "one up, one down and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to his apartment at the same time. The movie version was a hit for Jerry Lewis in the 1960's and the stage version was a 2008 Tony Award winner.

Summer afternoons and evenings are special at Hackmatack, and we have a special line-up of shows for you for summer of 2012: We feature a show on the way to Broadway, one just off Broadway, an old and a new favorite!
We open the season with a brand new show, Burt and Me - a love story to the music of Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Be among the first in the USA to see the show and hear all of the wonderful songs: "I Say a Little Prayer", "One Less Bell to Answer", "I'll Never Fall in Love Again", "The Look of Love", "What the World Needs Now" - Oh the list goes on and on!
The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic Oklahoma will open on July 4, and what better way to celebrate! One of America's most loved musicals on the Hackmatack stage - join the Cow- boys, the Farmers, the Dancers and the old time fun.
We next move to the city of Baltimore in the 1960's where change is in the air. Hairspray is the high energy show about passion, love, acceptance and DANCING! All without mussing up the hair. Boeing-Boeing, The Tony winning show just off Broadway, will finish the season in fine comedy style. Bernard, our hero, is engaged to three women, each a beautiful airline hostess. He is not nervous that they will meet as he knows the schedule of each airline. Join us and see how that works out for him!
The barn and the bison, the city songs and the country songs, the pies and the popcorn will all be ready to greet you as you make your way to Hackmatack in 2012.
